Cycling is the perfect mode of transport in the historic
city of Cambridge with no journey taking longer than approximately
20 minutes.
 |
It is a very cycle friendly
place with many cycleways connecting all parts of the
city. In addition, many recreational and commuter routes
have recently been created, as part of the National Cycle
Network. |
This enables
riders to connect with the surrounding countryside, villages
and even other towns and cities.
It does not take long to realise how
cycle orientated Cambridge is. Commonly known as 'The
Cycle Capital of the U.K.' a
large number of the city's population use pedal power
on a daily basis.
This is much aided by the local Geography which is extremely
flat, particularly to the north. There is however a few
undulating areas to the south which make for a slightly
more challenging ride. |
